Direct and Manage Project work
The Project Manager ensures that all the different knowledge areas are integrated as a whole for the smooth running of the project. PM does not view issues arising from individual knowledge areas separately instead will look closely how an issue in one area of the project will impact the other component. Project Management Information System (PMIS) is used to track the many aspects of the project. Formal work authorization ensures a proper start date for a certain job therefore avoiding any overlaps. As part of direct and manage project work PM facilitates meetings and discussions, updates and other departments of various developments when necessary and keeps stakeholders in loop about the project progress.
